Escuinapa de Hidalgo, mexican city, county seat of Escuinapa, in Sinaloa state. It is located at an altitude ranking between sea level and 850 m in the Pacific coastal plain, over the left of arroyo of Escuinapa and at the southeast of Culiacán, state capital.Its climate is semi warm. The main source of income for its inhabitants is agriculture and livestock, grow corn, beans and coconut water, raising cattle and shrimp fishing and smooth.

Since Escuinapa, can be seen the hill of the dead, prominent natural scolpture that represents the shape of a dead man. Since always, Escuinapa has been characterized by liberal ideas, mostly because of some escuinapenses participated in Mexican Revolution. Severiano moreno, who created songs like Alegres Maderistas and Viva Balbuena, highlighted with his participation.
